I am Dr Deeksha Rani Aggarwal, an ophthalmologist and eye health expert who is committed to give unbiased information about various eye diseases and their treatment options. I am also always available to answer all your queries about eye diseases and eye health.
My Roots
I was born in Maharaj Sawan Singh Charitable Hospital Beas, Punjab in 1994. My early childhood was spent in a small town named Bhunga located in District Hoshiarpur of Punjab. When I was about 16 years of age, my parents decided to move to “Hoshiarpur City” for better opportunities for my higher studies.
My Education
Till seventh grade, I studied at Mount Carmel School, Bhunga, the only convent school in my hometown. From eighth grade to twelfth grade, I was in Woodland Overseas School, Hoshiarpur, where I pursued my twelfth grade with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Securing a rank of 64 in the state Pre-Medical Test, I earned an MBBS seat in one of Punjab’s top medical colleges – Government Medical College, Patiala. I graduated in 2017 and then achieved rank 84 in the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) entrance examination, joining the prestigious institute’s post-graduate program in Ophthalmology.
After completing my post-graduation in 2021, I ranked second in the AIIMS Senior Residency Entrance Examination. I undertook a three-year senior residency in Cataract, Refractive Surgery, Medical Retina, and Uvea under the guidance of ophthalmology stalwarts at the institute with Asia’s largest residency training program.
Having completed my senior residency in March 2024, I am now practicing as a consultant ophthalmologist at Krishna Eye Centre (An ASG Enterprise), Parel, Mumbai.
I am committed to providing the highest quality eye care that you deserve. My life’s mission is to bring clarity to your vision, enhancing your life and empowering you to see the world with precision and beauty.
Deeksha, i am proud of you that rising from a small town in Hoshiarpur, you have reached Bombay travelling a journey from GMC, PTA to AIIMS Delhi.
This all happened with the grace of almighty god that you were able to study hard focusing on and achieving your target.
Never forget your parents who did everything to help you reach where you have reached.
